This is not an independent review. We make Assurement, so read it as our own honest account. Today, Assurement has one launched module, Lite Report: documentation from the phone on site, with photos stamped with time and GPS position, assembled into a finished report for 149 DKK excl. VAT per report. The DS 1140 and quality assurance modules are in development, and the app needs an internet connection. Offline mode is on our roadmap.
Why we wrote our own review
This Assurement review is written by us, the people who build the app, so it is not neutral. What we can offer is a straight account of what the app does and doesn't do, limited to things you can check yourself: in a free demo, in the app or on our pricing page. Where something is still in development, we say so.
What Assurement is
Assurement is documentation software for construction, developed in Denmark by KS Assurement ApS in Odense. It is built for contractors, tradespeople, project managers and site supervisors who want to document their own work (site reports, quality assurance and, over time, DS 1140 control) instead of rebuilding the paperwork at the end of the day.
The platform has three modules: Lite Report, which is available today, and the DS 1140 and Quality Assurance modules, which are in development. It runs on the phone (iOS and Android) and in the browser, in Danish or English.
What Lite Report can do today
The work is split between office and site. A project manager or administrator sets up the report on the web: report type, title, participants, drawings and the tasks to be carried out. Workers then carry out their tasks from the phone on site, and their registrations become the finished report. Read more about Lite Report.
- Built-in professions, control plans and control points: choose a profession and the control plans and control points for that trade are loaded. You can adapt them and add your company's own points.
- Photos with date, time, GPS position and place name stamped on the image, taken with the in-app camera. Photos and PDF drawings can be marked up.
- Time deviations: when a task slips, because of the weather for example, the crew raises a time deviation and sets a new completion date. If a task's milestone passes without the task being done, the system raises one automatically.
- Shared project storage for drawings and documents on web and phone, plus an internal notes thread per report with photo attachments.
- External parties such as subcontractors, engineers or the client can be invited to a project with read, communicate or register permissions.
- Reports carry your company logo and a stored signature, and an activity log records who did what and when.
A Lite Report export can serve as photo documentation in a DS 1140 case, for example to support the control report. It does not replace the project-specific control plan or the requirements of BR18, DS 1140 or your contract.
What it can't do yet
In development: the DS 1140 module (static documentation) and the Quality Assurance module (the company's QA handbook) are not available yet. There is no launch date and no price. The price will be announced at launch.
- No offline mode. The app needs an internet connection to register tasks and upload photos. Offline mode is on our roadmap, but if parts of your sites have no coverage, you need to plan for that today.
- Control plans can't be copied between projects. You set them up per project from the built-in professions and control points.
- No upload from the photo gallery. Photos are taken in the app, which is what makes the time and GPS stamps trustworthy.
- It is a documentation tool, not a project management or finance system, and it isn't built to replace those.
If your main need right now is digital DS 1140 documentation, talk to us before planning a project around the app. We would rather tell you the module isn't ready than have you find out on site.
What it costs
Creating an account, setting up projects and documenting on site is free. You pay only when you generate a report: 149 DKK excl. VAT per Lite Report (186.25 DKK incl. 25% VAT). There is no subscription, no minimum and no lock-in, and no extra charge for users or photos.
A report is only charged when you add it to the cart and pay, online or by bank transfer. It can then be downloaded from the web app, where your reports stay accessible. For comparison, our own estimate is that a smaller inspection with 10–15 registrations takes roughly 70–145 minutes of admin afterwards when done manually, and that a realistic saving is about 30–60% of that time. It is an estimate, not a guarantee. See pricing or our guide to construction software pricing in Denmark.
Assurement and KS Danmark
Assurement has a sister company, KS Danmark, and the two do different jobs. Assurement is the software you use yourselves. KS Danmark is the advisory business: it prepares DS 1140 static documentation for contractors (B2 control plan, B3 control report and A5 as-built), acts as independent inspector and works with certified structural engineers. Use the app when you want to handle documentation in-house, and bring in KS Danmark when you want an expert to prepare or check it.
Who it suits today, and how to judge it yourself
Lite Report fits best if you already take photos on site but lack a structured way to turn them into a report, for example as a site manager, foreman, tradesperson or project manager on Danish projects. It is built in Denmark, in Danish, around Danish requirements such as DS 1140.
The most reliable review is your own. Because the account and on-site documentation are free, you can try Lite Report on one well-defined project and only pay if you generate the report. If you'd like a walkthrough first, book a free 30-minute demo.
Frequently asked questions
Is all of Assurement ready to use today?
No. Lite Report is launched and available. The DS 1140 and Quality Assurance modules are in development, with no launch date or price yet.
Does Assurement work offline?
Not yet. The app needs an internet connection to register tasks and upload photos. Offline mode is on our roadmap.
What does it cost to try the app?
Nothing to get started. Account, projects and on-site documentation are free; you pay 149 DKK excl. VAT (186.25 DKK incl. VAT) only for each report you generate.
Is Assurement the same as KS Danmark?
No. They are sister companies: Assurement is the software, and KS Danmark is the advisory business that prepares and checks DS 1140 documentation.
Where is my data stored?
On AWS servers in Northern Europe, within the EU, in line with GDPR.
Can I see the app before deciding?
Yes. Book a free 30-minute online demo, where we show Lite Report on phone and web and tell you where the other modules stand.
