Our story

Construction documentation built from real industry experience

Assurement helps construction professionals capture, organise and retrieve critical project documentation directly from the job site. Photographs, timestamps, location data and project information are brought together in one structured system, making documentation easier to complete, easier to find and easier to present when it matters.

The problem

It began with a DKK 60,000 documentation dispute

The idea behind Assurement emerged after our founder faced a DKK 60,000 moisture-damage dispute in Odense. The central issue was not the quality of the work. It was the inability to present complete, structured evidence of what had been done. The relevant photographs sat across three different phones, with no consistent filing structure, no reliable timestamps and no location data. When the evidence was needed, it could not be found and presented effectively. The case revealed a wider problem across the industry: professional work becomes difficult to defend when the documentation behind it is incomplete, fragmented or inaccessible.

The turning point

Documentation should be created where the work happens

Construction professionals do not need another complicated administrative system designed for the office. They need a practical tool that works on the job site, between tasks, in the same place the evidence is created. Drawing on extensive experience in the Danish construction industry, founder Jack Lynge set out to make documentation faster and more structured. Assurement was built as a mobile-first platform that captures project information on site and turns it into clear, professional reports. The objective is straightforward: reduce the administrative burden without compromising the quality, traceability or accessibility of the documentation.

Today

A growing documentation platform for construction professionals

Assurement is a digital documentation platform built around the practical needs of contractors, tradespeople, project managers and inspectors. The platform currently provides Lite Report for structured photo documentation and report generation. Additional modules for DS 1140 documentation and quality assurance are in development, to support more of the industry's documentation workflows. Assurement continues to evolve through direct feedback from the professionals using it in real working environments.

Meet the founder

Jack Lynge

Assurement was founded from first-hand experience of the documentation challenges faced across the construction industry.

Before developing Assurement, Jack Lynge worked across several areas of Danish construction: practical trade work, project management, contracting and quality assurance. That experience gave him a clear understanding of what construction professionals need from a documentation platform: it must be straightforward to use on site, technically relevant, and reliable when the documentation has to be retrieved. Assurement was created to turn that industry experience into a practical digital tool, helping teams document their work as it happens, instead of reconstructing it afterwards.

“I built Assurement to solve a problem I had experienced throughout the construction industry: good work is not enough if you cannot document it properly.”

Mission

Documentation you can rely on

What guides our work

Our principles shape how we build the platform, prioritise new functionality and support our customers. Every decision starts with the realities of working on a construction site.

Simplicity first

Documentation should not require extensive training or complicated administrative routines. Assurement is designed to capture project information while the work is being done, from a phone, tablet or computer. Photographs, timestamps, location data, notes and project information are brought together in one structured workflow, so you are not searching through personal phones, folders and disconnected systems when a report is due.

“A standard photo entry can typically be created in under 20 seconds.”

Built for construction

Assurement is not a generic reporting tool adapted for construction. Its workflows, structures and documentation formats are developed specifically around how construction professionals actually work. Functionality is reviewed with people who understand site operations, quality assurance and construction documentation, and user feedback feeds back into development, so the platform stays relevant in practice, not only in theory.

“We build with people who have stood on the scaffolding, not just in the office.”

Documentation and compliance

Assurement helps construction teams create a more consistent and traceable documentation process. Project evidence can be captured on site, organised by project and presented in a structured format when a customer, project stakeholder or inspector asks for it. The platform supports documentation work; responsibility for meeting contractual, regulatory and technical requirements remains with the project professionals. The upcoming DS 1140 and quality assurance modules are being developed to give more structured support for control plans, deviations and audit trails.

“We support your documentation. The professional judgement stays with you.”

Developed with users

Feedback from contractors, tradespeople, project managers and inspectors plays a real part in how Assurement develops. Requests and recurring documentation problems are weighed against how much they would improve usability, reduce administration and strengthen project documentation, so development priorities stay tied to genuine industry needs.

“The roadmap is shaped by the people using it on site.”
